2. Orders & Payment
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to buy the products in your basket. Your order is only accepted once we have confirmed it by email.
Payment must be made in full at the time of placing your order. We use secure third-party payment providers to process payments. We do not store your full card details on our website.
Pricing
We try to make sure all prices, product details and delivery information are accurate. If we discover an obvious pricing or product error after you have placed an order, we will contact you as soon as possible and give you the option to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Discount Codes & Offers
Discount codes, offers and promotions may be changed, paused or withdrawn at any time. Only one discount code may be used per order unless stated otherwise.
3. Handmade Products
Nash & Skeels Handmade products are made from real timber and natural materials. Because of this, each item may vary slightly in grain, colour, tone, pattern, size and finish.
These natural differences are part of the character of handmade wooden products and are not faults.
Product photos are intended to show the style, quality and general appearance of the item. Colours may also appear slightly different depending on your screen or device.
Personalised, Bespoke & Made-to-Order Products
Some products may be personalised, engraved, made to order or made to your specific requirements. Please check all spelling, dates, names, measurements and custom details carefully before placing your order.
We are not responsible for mistakes in personalisation details supplied by the customer, unless the mistake was caused by us.
4. Delivery
Delivery options, estimated dispatch times and delivery charges will be shown at checkout before you place your order.
Ready-made items are usually dispatched as quickly as possible. Made-to-order, personalised or bespoke items may take longer, and the estimated timescale will depend on the product and the work required.
Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed unless we specifically state otherwise. We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services, couriers, weather, strikes, incorrect delivery details or events outside our control.
Please make sure your delivery address is correct before placing your order. If an item is returned to us because the address was incorrect or incomplete, you may need to pay the delivery cost again before we resend it.
5. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
For standard ready-made products bought online, you usually have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the item. You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us.
Returned items must be unused, in resaleable condition and returned with any original packaging where possible.
How to Cancel or Return an Item
To cancel or return an order, contact us by email at accounts@nashandskeelshandmade.co.uk with your name, order number and reason for return.
Unless the item is faulty, damaged or not as described, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We recommend using a tracked service because you are responsible for the item until it reaches us.
Refunds
Once we receive the returned item, or you provide proof that it has been sent back, we will process any refund due within 14 days.
Refunds will normally be made back to the original payment method. We may reduce the refund if the item has been handled more than necessary or returned damaged, used or in a condition that affects its resale value.
Personalised, Bespoke & Made-to-Order Items
Personalised, engraved, bespoke or made-to-order items cannot usually be returned or cancelled once work has started, unless they are faulty, damaged or not as described.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
6. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please check your order as soon as it arrives. If an item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible at accounts@nashandskeelshandmade.co.uk.
Please include your order number, a description of the issue and clear photos of the product and packaging where relevant.
If the item is faulty, damaged or not as described, we will offer a suitable remedy, which may include a repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.
7. Wooden Product Care
Wooden products, including chopping boards and serving boards, need proper care to stay in good condition.
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
- Do not soak in water.
- Do not place in a dishwasher.
- Re-oil regularly with food-safe mineral oil or board wax.
- Do not use cooking oils, as they can go rancid.
- Allow boards to dry fully before storing.
Damage caused by misuse, poor care, soaking, dishwasher use, excessive heat, dropping, impact damage or failure to maintain the product is not classed as a product fault.
8. Customer Accounts
You may be able to create a customer account on our website. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for any activity that happens under your account.
Please contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
We may suspend or close accounts if we believe they are being misused, used fraudulently or used in a way that could harm our website, business or other customers.
9. Website Use & Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, images, product photos, designs, branding, logos and layout, belongs to Nash & Skeels Limited or is used with permission.
You may not copy, reproduce, sell, reuse or distribute our website content, product images or branding without written permission.
